International growth projected for Danny Rose

Paris-based art and design company Danny Rose says it has expanded its portfolio and international presence.

Danny Rose is primarily known for its projection mapping spectaculars, with the team creating, directing, producing and animating artistic content. The company’s growth has been stimulated by recent projects such as the ‘Play Me!’ interactive projection mapping installation onto Customs House at Vivid Sydney 2014.

In line with the company’s growth, Lucia Frigola has been appointed as graphic artist and motion designer while Cédric Péri has taken up the position of graphic artist and 3D designer.

Joint founder Sergio Carrubba, creative director and projection designer, said the company has been pioneering the concept of a virtual three-dimensional dynamic set design for the stage, opera and theatre as well as music concerts, events and artistic works.

“We design our content to act as a continuous dialogue between various production elements including music, stage, images as well as the written and spoken word,” he said.

Danny Rose has also been developing 3D real-time interactive projection mapping on to urban surfaces and indoor spaces. One previous project was ‘The Soul and Music’ exhibition at the Santa Maria della Scala Museum in Sienna, which involved a multimedia pathway staged as an eighteenth-century house, among projections and scenography, original and virtual works.
